The exterior logs must be treated with a fungicide and preservative as soon the roof structure is in place.  This will preserve the light natural finish and prevent the greying of the wood.

We can supply special paints that give a wide range of colours and tints ranging from clear through translucent to opaque finishes.  These paints are developed in Scandinavia for log homes and they prevent moisture from entering the wood without affecting its breathability.
