Maintenance - What about Sound Insulation?
With walls made of solid logs, sounds from outside the house, stay outside.

Internally, floating floors and layers of insulation are integrated in the ceilings to inhibit direct transmission of footfall sound.

The use of these materials and construction techniques help ensure that the peace and comfort of your log house is not disturbed by noise caused by contact with the floors and walls. (Noise caused by shouts of delight from visitors on entering your home can only be reduced by preparing them well in advance. See the Drawbacks section.)
