Planning - What are the Planning Permission implications?
Log houses are subject to the same Planning Laws as block houses and, as with block houses, appropriate design will ensure that your home gets Planning Permission without delay.

GoodWood Solutions has met with representatives of the Chief Planner in Ireland and have assurances that our log homes will be assessed on their own merits and on an equal basis as houses built from other materials.

Some customers find that the get dissuaded from applying for permission to build a log house when making verbal enquiries at their local planning office but when they formally apply there has not been a case where permission is turned down on the single basis that the application is for a log building.

As the only supplier of log homes in Ireland with a CE Quality Mark we are distinguished by the planners who can be assured by this highly valued independent certification.
