Finance - How much do they cost?
Like all construction jobs, this is impossible to say without knowing at least some of the variables. Four out of five of our construction projects are custom designed for our customer’s needs and so producing figures that have any meaning for another customer is difficult. For example, one customer may want a glass atrium and another wants a slate fireplace. Comparing the cost per square metre for the complete home would be misleading.

For the sake of giving some indication, log homes can range from 15% less to 20% more than the cost of the equivalent block house for a "turnkey" (everything included) project.

An indicative measure of the cost for kit, kit delivery and kit construction can be estimated using a figure of approximately EUR80 to EUR90 per square foot. Additional budget allowances should be made for foundations, plumbing, electrics, insulation materials, roof covering and equipment hire.

Because we specialise in custom designed homes we do not generally work on projects where the building is less than 1,000 square feet (or 100 square metres) unless it is for multiple buildings.

When we have completed the design of your home we can give you an exact fixed cost for supply of the kit. We can also design a home for you to fit in with your budget.
